I ended up getting the event planning bug! From that day on, I decided that event planning and travel was the career for me. I decided to take a course in event planning, coordination, and design. My love for traveling the world encouraged me to add that portion to my planning career. I feel that everyone should have the experience of traveling the world and experiencing different cultural environments.

I continued to stay in school administration while planning events and trips for family, friends, schools, and churches. I became the “go-to girl” for all events and travel planning. One day, I decided to venture out and create a full-time career out of my gift. Here I am today, the owner of Royal Occasions LLC. I am the preferred event/travel planner at several venues throughout the Hampton Roads area and I take pride in making all events feel like they are meant for royalty. 

The trends and design concepts change rapidly. I continue to get educated by attending wedding/event planning webinars as well as travel conferences to stay on top of all the new trends and interesting design concepts and decor in the industry. It's imperative for me to be on top of all things to ensure a lasting experience for my clients.
